Creative Collaboration
Commercial Interior Design

Creative Collaboration is a proposed library re-design for Griffith University's South Bank Campus, to create a more functional and student-friendly space.

The space was reconfigured to allow for more natural light and to create a more collaborative environment. The individual quiet space was moved to the back and sectioned off with bookshelves and acoustic panels to create a quieter and more productive space, which would benefit those with auditory overstimulation.

The ceiling lighting will be changed from fluorescent to a warmer, softer light, and task lighting will be added to desks and seating areas for students to use as needed. The space was designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind, including the creation of bookshelves within independent reach of anyone in a wheelchair. All pathways have the required clearance, and there are dedicated seating and desk spaces for persons with disabilities throughout the area.

The Creative Collaboration library aims to be an all-inclusive space where individuals of all physical abilities, sensory needs, and study preferences can enjoy and utilise the space.

Create Connect
Commercial Interior Design
Branding Design

Create Connect is a proposed program and space design intended for implementation at Griffith University’s South Bank campus. Its primary goal is to assist first-year students in transitioning to university life while fostering meaningful connections with their peers.

The exterior is designed to attract students and alleviate anxiety about meeting new people. Life-sized games, such as giant Jenga and giant chess, serve as central focal points, surrounded by comfortable seating that fosters a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

The vibrant color scheme and varied seating options create a youthful and fun environment. The space also features a kitchenette with a dining table and a collaborative study area to encourage creativity. Additionally, a quiet space has been included, separated from the main area, to provide a retreat for students who may feel overwhelmed or overstimulated.

The branding of Create Connect reflects its core values. The bright and youthful colour palette embodies creativity while interlocking circles and interwoven shapes symbolise the individuality of students and their ability to coexist and support one another on their journeys.

Sense of Calm
Installation Design

Sense of Calm aims to feel like you are stepping into a sensory calming oasis. Surrounded by nature and focusing the senses this installation design steps the user through the techniques to calm anxiety.

The design was centred around a journey through the different senses created by the biophilic design. This space is designed around a 100% circular design with sustainably sourced materials and a plan for all materials after installation.

Sense of Calm is a walk-through design full of native Brisbane plants, the space is meant to feel like walking into an outdoor oasis that unlocks multiple biophilic principles..

Micro Living
Residential Interior Design

Micro Living was about designing a small house that is for those who wish to live in a beautiful space without overusing space and being considerate of the environment. This project was about creating a house less than 120 sqm that still meets the living requirements of 2 people comfortably.

This requires thinking about spaces for both people to exist separately and together while ensuring that the space minimises impact on the environment around it.

The house utilises natural light harvesting by having the living, kitchen and loft area enclosed with a curtain wall, minimising the need for artificial lighting during the day and keeping a connection with nature. Solar panels are installed to power the appliances and electrical and bamboo panelling is used for the interior walls. The loft space was introduced as a way of creating semi-private spaces for both people for work/study/leisure without taking up valuable space in the living area.
